One of the Queen's most loyal aides, nicknamed "Tall Paul" was with the late monarch in her final days before she passed away aged 96 on 8 September. Paul Whybrew, 63, worked with the royal household for over 40 years, and being personal page to the Queen meant that he shared a very close relationship with her.The 6ft 4in man is believed to have been nicknamed "Taul Paul" to distinguish between him and another of the Queen's footmen, Paul Burrell, who at 5ft 10in was much shorter. The Queen's closes aides, including Tall Paul, were with her in her final days and royal expert Victoria Ward told the Telegraph that they would help "with jigsaw puzzles, delivering her beloved Racing Post and simply keeping her company as she watched television." Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent Florian Zeller, the French filmmaker behind the Oscar-winning “The Father” and “The Son,” is set to make his TV debut with the adaptation of Stefano Massini’s play “The Lehman Trilogy.” Zeller will write, direct and co-produce the series under his newly formed Blue Morning. Lorenzo Mieli at The Apartment Pictures, a Fremantle company, and Domenico Procacci at Fandango are executive producing the series. The pair previously teamed on the acclaimed series “My Brilliant Friend” based on the Elena Ferrante novels. Adapted by Ben Power, the production won five Tony Awards earlier this year, including prizes for Sam Mendes’ direction and for the lead performance of Simon Russell Beale.

‘The Son’ Venice Review: Hugh Jackman In Florian Zeller’s Gripping Followup To Oscar Winning ‘The Father’

Writer/Director Florian Zeller had such great success with his 2020 film adaptation of his stage play, The Father which won six Academy Award nominations including Best Picture, winning for his and co-writer Christopher Hampton’s screenplay, as well as Best Actor for Anthony Hopkins, that he was able to move very quickly in getting a film version going for his next play, 2018’s Le Fils. The result, The Son, premiering today at the Venice Film Festival in competition, is the second of a three part stage and film series on stories dealing with mental health, in this case a troubled 17 year old boy who has been deeply affected by the divorce of his parents and is suffering severe problems. Of course The Father dealt with one elderly man’s devastating descent into dimentia and the effect that had on his family, and it was an intimate film production for Zeller, largely taking place in the man’s apartment, yet still managed to be cinematic despite its stage origins.

Hugh Jackman, Laura Dern, Vanessa Kirby on Florian Zeller’s Venice Title ‘The Son’: ‘Mental Health is a Crisis Everywhere in The World’

Naman Ramachandran Florian Zeller and the cast of his “The Son,” including Hugh Jackman, Vanessa Kirby, Laura Dern and Zen McGrath, addressed the issue of mental health, the film’s central subject, ahead of its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival. The film, Zeller’s follow up to his Oscar-winning “The Father,” is an adaptation of his own stage play. It focuses on Peter (Jackman), whose busy but happy life with his infant and new partner Beth (Kirby) is disrupted when his ex-wife Kate (Dern) informs him about their teenage son Nicholas (McGrath), who has been missing from school for months and is disturbed. Addressing a press conference at Venice, Zeller said that he wanted to “explore these very emotional territories in a very honest and humble way” and that his work with the cast “was such a joyful, truthful and intense journey that we shared.”
