A man has died in a fatal crash on a street in North Ayrshire.
Joshua Crawford suffered severe injuries after the smash which took place on Lawson Drive, Ardrossan around 7.50pm on Tuesday, June 28.
The 27-year-old was rushed to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock and then transferred to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
He could not be saved and died in hospital.
Heartfelt tributes have since been paid to tragic Joshua, with many taking to social media to pay their respects.
Darren White and Carly Kennedy said: "I'm sure the 3 towns are all absolutely devastated to hear the news of wee Josh Crawford, he fought hard for his life after a tragic accident but unfortunately he passed away.
"Anyone who knew wee Josh knows what a character he was, he always had a smile on his face, never passing anyone he knew.
"A very much loved wee guy, who would do anything for anyone."
Eamon Mcnamee wrote: "A smile that lit up his face and time to talk to everyone a wee legend that’ll be sorely missed".
Janice Morgan commented: "Your light will always shine on Lawson Drive Josh.....RIP and fly high".
Marissa and William Muir added: "RIP josh such a lovely lad".
Road policing officers in Ayrshire are now appealing for witnesses in a bid to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the event.
Ayrshire Road Policing Sergeant Craig Beaver said: "My thoughts go out to Joshua’s family and friends at this very difficult time.
"It’s vital we piece together exactly what happened in the lead up to this crash and I would appeal for anyone with information to contact us.
"Likewise, anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage should also get in touch.”
