A housing developer has released first look images of their 67 homes coming to Ashton. Miller Homes has revealed what their Eston View development, which will be located on Wigan Road, will look like.
The homebuilder has recently completed the purchase for a new development on the outskirts of the town. Eston View will bring a collection of high quality, sustainable three and four bedroomed new build homes to the area, 10 per cent of which will be affordable homes, Miller Homes have said.
Full planning consent has been granted in for the proposals, which will see 67 'high-quality' dwellings built in the area off Bryn Green Avenue.

House types will include the Overton, Eaton, and Hazelwood, all of which can be viewed on the Miller Homes website now. Work on site will begin imminently with the sales centre expected to open later this summer and the show homes following in the autumn.
Bryn Green, off Wigan Road where the new development will be located, is 0.3 miles from Landgate School and just under four miles from Wigan town centre. The area is well connected, with local shops nearby and very close access to the M6 via the A49.
Jonathan Steggles, Land Director for Miller Homes, said: “Wigan is an aspirational and popular area and we’re delighted to be bringing some new high quality and sustainable homes to the town. By the time the development is complete, it will bring 67 new family homes to the town, creating jobs and improving livelihood in the process.”

Matt Donnelly Senior Film WriterThe bold and emotional true story of the survivors who spoke out against Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein was always the stuff of great cinema. On Wednesday, CInemaCon got a look at that movie: Universal’s “She Said.”The film is a dramatic adaptation of the book by Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor, the reporting duo whose Weinstein exposé in the New York Times “created a domino effect and accelerated the #MeToo movement,” said star Carey Mulligan on stage at the annual convention of movie theater owners.Mulligan and Zoe Kazan portray Twohey and Kantor, respectively. It wasn’t Billy on the Street but Billy Eichner on the Strip at this year’s edition of CinemaCon, as he wowed the exhibitor crowd with clips from his upcoming rom-com “Bros.” The film has been heralded as the first studio romantic comedy to feature an entirely LGBTQ+ cast, and the studio was not afraid to sing (or in Eichner’s case shout) those praises. Eichner was in Vegas to introduce “the most exciting thing to happen in Caesar’s Palace since Adele refunds.” And he was astonished that we got two movies about a “talking hedgehog” before a film with a wholly gay cast. But he said that though it provides opportunities for underrepresented voices, it still is an entertaining film that can sell tickets.
