Police are investigating after fire ripped through a car which was parked on a street in Fife on Friday evening. Footage from the scene shows a blaze raging from the front of the vehicle while hazard lights flash at the rear.
The car was parked on a residential street in Kirkcaldy next to a busy main road. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were alerted to the incident on Tiree Place in the town at around 6.30pm.
There were no reports of casualties. A SFRS spokesperson said: "We got the first call to Tiree Place, Kirkcaldy at 18.30. One appliance was sent there.
"There was a car well alight and we left the scene at 19.17. No reports of casualties."
Police Scotland have now launched a full investigation into the circumstances of the fire.
A spokesperson said: “Around 7pm on Friday, 10 February, we were made aware of car fire in Tiree Place, Kirkcaldy.
“The fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. No one was injured.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
