A busy Edinburgh road has been closed by police after a pedestrian was knocked down by a car.

Firefighters are tackling an ongoing blaze which broke out in Edinburgh this morning.
Fire crews rushed to the scene on Dalry Road in the capital just after 4am.
It is unknown if anyone has been hurt as a result of the incident.
Photos taken at the scene show two blue-lit fire engines and multiple firefighters swarming the area near sweets and coffee shop, Levant Sweets, just a five minute walk from Haymarket train station.
Traffic cones have also been placed on the busy road to stop vehicles from passing.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have confirmed they are currently in attendance.
Due to the ongoing nature of the event, they are unable to confirm details at this time.
