A man has suffered potentially life-changing injuries after a horror motorbike crash in Tameside. It happened on Manchester Road in Droylsden shortly before 3pm on Thursday (May 9).

Firefighters were scrambled after a lorry crashed into a tree before trapping it in the road in Bury.
Fire crews raced to The Drive near Clarence Park after receiving reports a heavy goods vehicle had smashed into an overhanging tree.
One fire engine and a technical response unit were called to the scene where crews cut the tree to free it from the lorry before moving it from the road.

A cordon was put in place and firefighters remained at the scene for around three hours. Witnesses at the scene reported seeing a lorry parked up with a sheet over its cab.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At around 11.20am today (Friday May 3) one fire engine from Heywood fire station and the technical response unit from Leigh fire station were called to reports of a heavy goods vehicle coming into contact with an overhanging tree trapping the tree in the road on The Drive, Bury.
“Firefighters set-up cordons and worked alongside colleagues from Bury Council to cut the tree and free it from the vehicle and move it from the road. Crews made the area safe and were in attendance for around three hours.”
