A fire has broken out on the film set of Lord of the Rings prequel series, Rings Of Power, prompting the cast and crew members to flee from the scene. Fire crews were reportedly alerted just before 12.30pm on Monday and arrived to find a single-storey warehouse on fire at Bray Studios in Berkshire. Photographs shared on social media show clouds of dark smoke coming from the studios, located near Maidenhead, according to MailOnline.
The publication also reported that several fire engines rushed to the studios, where the second series of Rings Of Power is being filmed, in a bid to tackle the blaze. Crew members and the cast of the prequel could reportedly be seen standing outside watching as emergency crews got to work putting the fire out. It is currently unknown if anyone has been hurt in the fire.
A spokesperson for the Royal Berkshire Fire And Rescue Service told MailOnline: "At 12.26pm on Monday, 3 April, we received reports of a fire at Bray Studios near Windsor. "At this time, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Bracknell, Slough and Maidenhead Fire Stations have been sent to the scene. "Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire in a single storey warehouse.
Firefighters remain at the scene of the incident. Further updates will be provided when available." Filming for the second series of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings Of Power began in October 2022 at Bray Studios.The series is expected to be released in 2024.
