Firefighters were called to Total Fitness in Walkden following reports of a blaze today. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service attended the gym on Ellesmere Retail Park at 8.20am.
According to GMFRS, the fire was put out before the crew's arrival, however, fire fighters remained on the scene for one-and-a-half hours.

A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “At approximately 8.20am today (26 March), we were called to reports of a fire at Total Fitness at Ellesmere Retail Park in Walkden.
“Three fire engines from Farnworth and Bolton attended the scene.
“The fire was extinguished prior to the fire service’s arrival, however, crews were detained for approximately one and a half hours to determine further risk.”
