Final Draft 13 dropped this week, which introduces more workspace customization on the screenwriting software.
“With Final Draft 13, writers have more tools than ever to enhance productivity,” Shelly Mellott, President of Final Draft, said in a statement. “We’re excited to help writers set goals for projects and track them to completion. This new version also offers more ways to customize the workspace and prewriting process than ever before.”
She continued, “From powerful outlining and character-building tools in the Navigator to color-coded structure lines that guide you through the scriptwriting process, Final Draft 13 makes writing—and writing more—so much easier.”
The new version of the software will give users more productivity tools and the ability to set goals, allowing writers to record their longest writing streaks, current writing streaks, peak days and peak times.
Navigator 2.0 lets users track how much screen time each character gets, see how often different characters interact and lets them assign voices to read the script back. Emojis will be enabled to craft on-screen text and social media exchanges.
For those late-night inspiration sessions, Midnight Mode gives users a new alternative dark view theme.
