A 'fed up' police officer left a 'nuisance' student with severe facial injuries after driving off in a van with the passenger door open, a disciplinary hearing was told.
After he had been arrested and de-arrested earlier in the evening, Kaide Saeger was taken to hospital because of concern for his welfare, the hearing was told.
He was standing at the open front passenger door of a police van outside A&E when it suddenly drove off.

CCTV showed him running beside the vehicle for seven seconds before falling face first into the road.
He was said to have grabbed the window as the van drove away, with the vehicle reaching an estimated 15mph by the time he fell, the hearing was told.
The van was driven away, but returned moments later.
At his disciplinary hearing, PC Daniel Gaffney is accused of driving off - not because he wanted to hurt Mr Saeger, but because he was 'fed up' as the man was 'grumbling and moaning and causing a nuisance'.
PC Gaffney admitted it was 'reckless and dangerous', but insists he was unaware the door was open and denies gross misconduct.
The officer said he had to drive a short distance before he found a place to turn the van around and return.
The officer was at the wheel of a liveried GMP van when it was driven away from outside the A&E department of Manchester Royal Infirmary shortly after 3.30am on April 27, 2018, the disciplinary hearing being held at GMP's Newton Heath HQ heard on Monday (March 7).
Mr Saeger had been arrested on suspicion of breaching the peace after he called 999. He had been thrown out of a nightclub in Fallowfield, the tribunal was told.
