Faux Fur and Jewelry Bring the World of ‘Mank’ to Life Onscreen

When makeup and hair designers Gigi Williams and Kimberly Spiteri were approached for Mank, they jumped at the chance to craft looks for an Old Hollywood drama, set in an era they both loved.

While the teams behind projects like Nomadland, Borat and The Crown have much to celebrate following multiple wins at the 2021 Golden Globes, for other multiple nominees, the evening was a disappointment. David Fincher's passion project Mank, about the screenwriter of Citizen Kane, went into the show with a leading six film nominations but failed to win a single award.

When writer/director Gitanjali Rao set out to make her debut feature, Bombay Rose, she introduced a large team of artists into her own idiosyncratic process for the first time.
