Family's concern over missing 59-year-old man who has dementia

The concerned family of a missing man who has dementia is appealing for help to find him.
Steven Mortimer has gone missing from the Didsbury and Burnage area in south Manchester, police said. He was last seen at around 2pm yesterday (Wednesday) in Burnage and is believed to be still be in the area.
The 59-year-old suffers with advanced dementia. He presents as 'having the mind of a 10-year-old', police said in an appeal.

He is described as a white male, who is approximately 5ft 9in and of slim build with grey short hair. He was last seen wearing a flat cap, a dark blue coat, blue jeans and black trainers.
Officers shared a picture of Steven in an appeal on the GMP Fallowfield, Withington, Levenshulme and Burnage Facebook page. They said they are becoming 'increasingly concerned for his welfare'.
The post said that Steven's family said he is 'very talkative and friendly'. They are 'worried that he could get into a vehicle with strangers'.
"They state Steven has never been out this late and are becoming increasingly worried", the post added.
Anyone with information is being urged to call police on 101 quoting the reference number MSP/06A3/0000579/22.
