The family of a young Scot who died just 11 days after going to hospital with flu-symptoms has spoken of their devastation over his death.
Mark McGeary, 31, was admitted to Wishaw General Hospital on January 10 and was quickly diagnosed with pneumonia and a severe chest infection.
But late on Monday night, the Wishaw man passed away after suffering a major heart attack and blood clot.
Sister-in-law Allison McGeary told the Daily Record the family were in shock but have had their spirits lifted
