It's one of the region's biggest festive events, but families have been told that Winter Wonderland Manchester won't be happening this Christmas.
Following a four-year break, the much-loved festive extravaganza returned to EventCity, close to The Trafford Centre, last year, much to the delight of visitors young and old.
The venue had been playing host to the similar-named Winter Funland, run by the team behind the Geronimo family festival, but Kingpin Events managed to secure a contract at the site, bringing back its original Silcock's Winter Wonderland.

Despite the success of the event, the venue has now closed down as it prepares to be demolished to make way for the new Therme waterpark that's going to be built on the site, leaving the attraction without a suitable location.
In a message on the Winter Wonderland website, Tammy Silcock, CEO of Kingpin Events, says: "Kingpin Events regret to inform all their customers that we are unable to return with Silcock's Winter Wonderland Manchester at EventCity this year.
"We will keep you updated regarding future events here and on our social channels."
Winter Wonderland transformed the indoor 22,000 sq m exhibition space into 'an unbelievable and magical winter wonderland', featuring more than 50 family rides and attractions including dodgems, roller coasters, waltzers and lots more.
There were theatrical shows on the main stage, a Christmas circus, 'elves and fairies' and the chance for little ones to visit Father Christmas and see his real reindeer.
