Fallout season two update as show becomes second most-watched ever on Amazon Prime Video

Brian Steinberg Senior TV Editor Amazon Prime Video isn’t waiting for the start of next week’s “upfront” to draw attention to women’s sports. The streaming giant said it has struck a sponsorship deal with AT&T that will have the telecommunications perennial serve as the lead sponsor for 21 WNBA games shown on Prime Video, and the presenting sponsor of the halftime show that airs during the service’s National Women’s Soccer League matches.

Despite Fallout taking place in the aftermath of a nuclear war, it’s truly not the end of the world for the Prime Video series, which has many miles to go.

Protagonist Pictures has unveiled the drama-thriller — from Plenty Good in co-production with Fabula — alongside a first look image and will handle international sales, while CAA Media Finance represents North American rights.

Manoj Bajpayee will once again portray the character of Srikant Tiwari, a middle-class Mumbai-based salaryman who is secretly an intelligence officer for the Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell (TASC), a wing of India’s National Investigation Agency. In Season 3, Tiwari will confront a looming threat to national security, while balancing the demands of family life and desperately working to mend his relationship with his wife.

In this week’s episode of The Discourse, host Mike DeAngelo gets swept up in the whirlwind romance at the heart of “The Idea of You” with writer/director Michael Showalter (“The Big Sick,” “The Eyes of Tammy Faye,” “Wet Hot American Summer”). The movie is based on the book of the same name and follows a forty-year-old woman reeling from a divorce who stumbles into a romance with a twenty-something singer from the world’s biggest boy band.

Jack Dunn BMI is set to honor composer Ramin Djawadi with the Icon Award for his work across film, television and video games. Djawadi, whose credits include “Westworld” and “Game of Thrones” will receive the honor at the 40th Annual BMI Film, TV and Visual Media Awards on June 5 in Beverly Hills.

The announcement comes after Variety reported that a second season was set to receive $25 million in tax credits by relocating shooting to the state of California. Based on the video game franchise of the same name, the series is set two hundred years after the apocalypse.
