Helen Thomas has been announced as head of station at BBC Radio 2, it was confirmed Tuesday (May 12) by BBC controller of pop Lorna Clarke. Thomas’s new position is one of five new head of station roles responsible for pop music networks at the broadcaster, with the remaining appointments to be announced at a later date.Thomas has served as Radio 2’s head of content commissioning since 2018.

300 Entertainment has named Leesa Brunson-Boland head of A&R operations, the indie label announced Wednesday (May 6).Brunson-Boland moves over from an 18-year stint at Def Jam, where she most recently served as senior vp A&R operations. In her new role, she will be based in New York and report to 300 Entertainment CEO and co-founder Kevin Liles -- who served as Def Jam president during several of the years Brunson-Boland worked there.
