Loch of the Lowes in Perthshire recorded an unusual turn of events recently when one of this year’s osprey chicks flew away before her mother. LR1, the older female chick of the two that survived this year, was described as “bold and boisterous” by the Scottish Wildlife Trust staff that observed her development at the reserve near Dunkeld.
