Greggs has announced the return date for their ever popular Festive Bakes ahead Christmas.
The pastries, which are filled with all the favourites of Christmas dinner, will be back on shelves across the UK from November 10. An announcement on their official Twitter said the countdown was on until their return, with only "eight sleeps to go until Festive Bake day".
The UK's favourite bakery will also be bringing back the vegan Festive Bake made with no animal products. From next week, fans can get their fix in-store or order for click and collect via the Greggs app to skip the queue for a limited time.
One of the chain's most popular seasonal selections, the Festive Bake has gained a cult following since launching back in 2009. The pastries are known to fly off shelves on their release day, with many branches quickly selling out.
According to their website, the Festive Bake is "packed with mouthwatering sage and onion stuffing, sweetcure bacon, succulent chicken and a creamy sage and cranberry sauce."
Their popularity even prompted the chain to release a vegan version last year, which contains an imitation bacon crumb, stuffing and Qourn pieces, wrapped in a vegan friendly pastry.
Customers expressed their delight at the news, with some even saying that the Festive Bake is their favourite part of the season. "Christmas is coming early", tweeted one fan while another said: "Honestly, the Festive Bake is the best part of Christmas time."
One mega fan shared how much the news cheered them up during a dark time. They said: "Thank god. This is the best news ever. I've been in hospital recently and have been so down but this has made me feel so much better in my heart. ILY Gregg."
