U2 have covered Crowded House‘s ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’ at their first Sphere show of 2024 – watch the footage below.The rock band have commenced the 2024 leg of their Sphere residency, which began back in October and was extended due to high demand.In their first concert of the year (January 26), U2 celebrated by performing a special acoustic cover of Crowded House’s ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’. The song was performed in tribute to the Australian band’s frontman Neil Finn, Tim Finn, his brother and longtime creative collaborator, and their mother Mary.Watch the special moment below:U2 recently shared a video of them playing ‘Even Better Than The Real Thing’ live from the Sphere, a song originally released on U2’s 1991 album ‘Achtung Baby’, and has often been included in the band’s setlists ever since.The band are scheduled to play the megavenue all the way up until March this year – see here for more information on remaining tickets.U2 are also said to be working on a new album, and in a November interview, Bono said that the record was “somewhat tied” to the medical status of drummer Larry Mullen Jr., who has been recovering from neck surgery, and pulled out of playing at the band’s Las Vegas Sphere residency.Bono had previously said that the new album would be “an unreasonable guitar record” with “big choruses”.In other news, U2 are soon to livestream their performance for the upcoming Grammys live from The Sphere, marking the first ever live broadcast from the state-of-the-art arena.

Modern Family in Netflix series Griselda.Created by Eric Newman and Andrés Baiz (Narcos), the crime drama miniseries is inspired by the life of Griselda Blanco, a notorious drug trader who created one of the most powerful cartels in history.A synopsis reads: “Set in 1970s-80s Miami, Blanco’s lethal blend of unsuspected savagery and charm helps her expertly navigate between business and family, leading her to become widely known as ‘the Godmother’.”Other cast members in the series include Alberto Guerra, Martin Rodriguez, Vanessa Ferlito and Christian Tappan.Carlos Rafael Rivera composed the show’s score. His previous credits include The Queen’s Gambit, Godless and 2014 film A Walk Among The Tombstones.You can stream the full soundtrack below.Along with the score, the show features a bunch of songs by other artists.

The Fox TV network has announced their first television show renewal of 2024.

We’re not even one month into 2024 and already, six television shows have been canceled by several streaming services.

The Magic Gang have announced that they are splitting up and will be performing a trio of celebratory farewell shows this May.After more than a decade together, the Brighton-formed band – Jack Kaye, Kris Smith, Gus Taylor and Paeris Giles – have “decided to call time” on the group to “spend some time exploring their own creative pursuits”.“It’s clear to see how incredible the journey has been,” they said in a press statement.The Magic Gang will perform three shows across May in Glasgow (21), Manchester (22) and London (23) to celebrate their time together and bid farewell to the band. Tickets go on sale Friday (January 26) at 9am GMT from here.
