The winner of Eurovision 2022 was last night revealed as Ukraine. Sam Ryder represented the United Kingdom, and it was clear from the off that he was going to score big as twelves were awarded continuously to the UK by countries across Europe. An elated Sam could be seen smiling as at the half way point of voting the UK were still leading with 195 points, but after all the votes were cast it was Ukraine's Kalush Orchestra who scooped the top prize.This has led many to question where the 2023 Eurovision will take place, giving Ukraine's ongoing war with Russia.

Winners Kalush Orchestra were adamant that the next Eurovision will take place in Ukraine. Ahead of the competition they told reporters: "If we win, the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will take place in Ukraine.
It will be a new, integrated, well-developed and flourishing Ukraine.” And now the Ukranian president Volodymyr Zelensky has issued a Facebook post saying much the same. After the winners of Eurovision were announced, he took to the social media platform and wrote: "Our courage impresses the world our music conquers Europe! Next year Ukraine will host Eurovision! For the third time in its history. And I believe – not for the last time.” It's also been revealed by Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng thatthe UK would support the country in hosting the event.
Kwarteng told Sky News he “looks forward to seeing it” held there. And if the event will not be hosted in Ukraine, it's likely another European country will take it on, and, given Sam Ryder's second placing, this could well be the UK. After his
