Let's hope they have more luck than season 7 couple, Pauline and David as their dream of finding their perfect home on the BBC show took a turn when they fell in love with a town that "had everything". Pauline and David, from High Wycombe, were eager to relocate to West Wales in 2018.
They had a budget of £325,000 and specific requirements: a garage and workshop for David, and a modern interior with period charm for Pauline.
Pauline shared: "We used to holiday a lot in Wales and we loved it there and we know most of Wales and we like Pembrokeshire especially." With their goals in mind, they turned to BBC's Escape to the Country for assistance in finding their countryside haven. Host Alistair Appleton introduced them to their first potential home in Wolfscastle - and their search came to an abrupt halt.
The couple were immediately enchanted by the entire property, from its stunning interiors to the rural views surrounding the charming cottage. It was listed at a pre-Covid pandemic price of £315,000, which Pauline believed was reasonable for such a lovely house.
The second property was situated in Jeffreyston, a mere 10 minutes from the breathtaking coastline.
While David was thrilled about the integrated garage, Pauline wasn't as impressed with the detached house. Pauline estimated the asking price to be £325,000 - the maximum of their budget
