Erling Haaland addresses Borussia Dortmund criticism amid Manchester United and Man City interest

Erling Haaland wants to draw a line under his recent criticism of Borrusia Dortmund after he said the club were putting him under 'pressure' to make a decision on his future.

The prolific striker is expected to be at the centre of the summer's biggest transfer saga, with all of Europe's big clubs - including Manchester United and Manchester City - interested in signing the game's hottest property.

Haaland is still just 21 but has been in remarkable goalscoring form for years now. He has 23 goals to his name this season in 20 games and 80 in just 79 appearances since moving to Dortmund two years ago.

With a much-touted release clause of just €75million thought to come into effect in the summer, it's presumed the Norwegian will play for a new club next season but it remains possible that he could stay at Signal Iduna Park.

Haaland revealed two weeks ago that he was feeling pressure from the club to decide if he was leaving the club or not but he now wants to move on from the comments.

"I felt it was time for me to say something," he told Sky Sports. "A lot of others were speaking, so that was it.

"And now I really don't want to say too much more about it. What has been said, has been said, and we move on."

Haaland dropped his bombshell on Dortmund, which further sparked speculation that a move is on the cards, after he scored a brace in a 5-1 win over Freiburg on January 14.

"The last six months, I have chosen not to say anything out of respect for Dortmund," Haaland told Viaplay.

"But now the club has started to pressure me into making a decision, but all I want to do is to play football.

"But they press me to make a decision now about my future. So that means I have to make a decision soon.
