A Hairmyres Hospital nurse has told how staff are overwhelmed at the generosity and support from the local community.
Jacqueline McKechnie, who works in a receiving unit, told the East Kilbride News staff are “emotional and fearful of what lies ahead,” but the constant donations of food to staff and supplies for patients is keeping them going.
Takeaways and other food outlets have been delivering to staff and a box for treats for older patients in care of the elderly wards has been placed
