Bhasker and Ash's characters Rishi Sharma and Matty Barton have so far managed to avoid being killed off by serial killer Meena, who has so far claimed four lives. But the soap stars have admitted they're not feeling confident about their futures on the hit ITV show as Meena, played by Paige Sandhu, continues to kill. Speaking exclusively to OK! at the National Diversity Awards in Liverpool, Ash admitted he's "definitely" worried about the future his character could face.

He said: "I think everybody has got to a point where we're all like… people are sort of avoiding Meena at all costs, even in real life, you don't want to be close! Watch your backs, anyone could go." Bhasker added: "I know nothing! Rishi was in India, so he has no idea what happened in the village… so no.
"What is going to happen to her? Because she is my step daughter as well. I haven’t been anywhere near her or her knife." Discussing the year ahead, Ash continued: "I can’t lose my job right now, but there is a lot of exciting stuff about to happen. "This year is our 50th anniversary, so we've got a lot going on.
I think we're doing something quite impressive. "We've got a lot of stuff coming up, obviously we've got a serial killer in the village at the moment, so there's going to be a lot of stuff going down there." Become an OK!
