As Emmerdale bad boy Caleb Miligan amped up his plans to take down Kim Tate this week, his son Nicky soon found himself hitting a substantial hurdle along the way as he struggled to gain access to Kim’s computer. As viewers will know, Nicky has already become a reluctant participant in the plans to steal Kim’s fortune as he feared it may later alienate him from his Dingle family. Despite expressing his reservations earlier this week, dad Caleb refused to listen and insisted he plough ahead with the plan before tasking him with cracking Kim’s laptop password.
Snooping around Home Farm for clues, Nicky was convinced he knew the right password and began to try and hack into Kim’s computer. However it revealed his guess wasn’t correct, nor were his subsequent attempts, with guess after guess soon failing to grant him access. Realising there wasn’t enough time to keep guessing, Nicky quickly shut the laptop before Kim could rumble what he had been up to and smiled brightly at her as she picked up the item and walked out of the room. Later in the episode a concerned Nicky could be seen on the phone talking to a mystery caller, who many believe was his father, as he pleaded for another plan to gain access to Kim’s accounts. Fans at home couldn’t help but wonder how Nicky had failed to be rumbled however, as his actions were far from subtle throughout his attempts to hack the laptop.
“Nicky and Caleb’s stupid plans to rip Kim off are spoof worthy,” wrote one fan. “How did Kim not notice that?! Nicky was hardly subtle,” argued another. A
