The latest episode of Emmerdale saw Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) confront Craig Reed (Ben Addis) on the torment and horror after he raped her, with fans now predicting a huge plot twist in the ITV soap. In tonight's episode of the soap, Tuesday 19 September, Lydia was left alone with Craig in his office where he begin gaslighting her and claiming that she consented to have sex with him. Craig left Lydia terrified when he stopped her from leaving and acted clueless to the events which took place earlier this month.
Lydia then plucked up the courage to confront her rapist and said: "You know what you did. You raped me". Craig then denied the accusations and suggested to Lydia that she was giving him the signals that she wanted it to go ahead with it.
Lydia then jumped in and corrected him and told him she said "no", and was left frozen in fear when he wouldn't stop.
The end of the episode saw Lydia tell Craig that she was quitting her job and instructed him to tell Samson that his work experience was over or she would go to the police and report him for rape. Fans immediately took to social media after the episode, with many predicting what 'plot twists' might happen in the upcoming episodes. One fan penned: "With Craig being a billionaire, he'd want to pay off Lydia rather than get the bad publicity.
Lydia would get millions. But having The Dingles finally get out of that house and live the high life like The Trotters would be too much of a change for the #Emmerdale bosses."
