Mary Goskirk is set for heartbreak in upcoming Emmerdale scenes, with her shady new love interest Faye's true intentions being finally exposed in chilling scenes. Mary (Louise Jameson) has been pursuing a romance with newcomer Faye (Jane Gurnett) after coming out to her family on the ITV soap earlier this year. Faye's intentions have been questioned by viewers however, and it appears that her true colours will finally show in upcoming scenes, with Mary being attacked thanks to Faye's suspicious behaviour.
Mary is left bleeding on the floor as Faye attempts to flee the scene, following her plan to scam Mary out of all of her money. Mary's close pal Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) is the first to raise concern about Faye, after she starts to question her when she acts suspicious about a bank transfer at an auction. Suzy voices her concerns to Mary, but it only leads to Mary sending Faye a huge sum of money in the hope it will prompt her to make the bank transfer.
However, the following day Suzy returns with more evidence proving Faye isn't all she appears to be, suggesting she is hiding something and is untrustworthy. Mary desperately attempts to shut Suzy's suspicions down, but soon the truth is revealed and it leaves Mary in grave danger. New photos show the aftermath of the revelations, and Mary can be seen lying on the floor lifeless with blood coming from her head.
Emmerdale boss Jane Hudson previously teased a "heartbreaking" twist for Mary, hinting that she is going to be scammed by Faye. Speaking to press, including OK!, Jane said: "We've got a lovely love story playing on screen with Mary. We see Mary falling in love with Faye and it's her first relationship since coming out.
