Emmerdale's Chloe Harris star confronted by fans as pregnancy plot causes confusion

Emmerdale actress Jessie Elland, who plays Chloe Harris on the ITV soap, has revealed that her pregnancy plot on-screen has led to awkward moments during nights out, as she has been confronted by groups of fans.The star has been portraying a teenage pregnancy storyline ever since Chloe had a one-night stand with Mackenzie Boyd (played by Lawrence Robb) in the village. Mack, was gearing up to marry Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and had been intent on keeping his indiscretion a secret, but fans have watched with bated breath for everything to spill out in classic soap style in recent weeks. Yet off-screen, Emmerdale viewers haven't been able to separate Jessie from her character when they see her drinking in public.The actress revealed that strangers have felt the need to tell her off for consuming alcohol due to her imaginary baby.
“If I had a pound for every time I’ve been on a night out and someone has said, ‘Hang on, you shouldn’t be drinking, aren’t you pregnant?’” the star explained. Speaking to new! magazine, she went on to say that despite the awkward moments when she's out with her friends, fans have generally been lovely since she joined the soap. “It’s been lovely," she told us.
"The great thing about this love triangle dynamic is that there’s such a grey area. "There’s no ‘he’s definitely in the wrong’ or ‘she’s definitely in the wrong,'" the star went on. Jessie also joked that it was "really cheesy" but she pinches herself for bagging such a brilliant role and storyline every day.
