Emmerdale fans were quick to point out pregnant teenager Amelia Spencer's blunder during the ITV soap's 50th anniversary on Sunday as she was left trapped alone in dramatic labour scenes. During the episode, Amelia decided to meet Noah Dingle for a picnic at Wylie’s farm at the exact same time a deadly and terrifying storm hit the village. With the force of the wind, Amelia was blown about and with her contractions starting she desperately called her dad, Dan Spencer, for help.
Dan panicked when he got the call and his worry increased when Amelia's phone died before she could tell him exactly where she was. Hiding out in a barn and with her contractions continuing, petrified Amelia prayed for her and her baby’s safety and desperately hoped someone would find her... However, soap fans were quick to question why Amelia would go to a picnic alone while pregnant in a windy storm.Taking to Twitter, one person said: "Surely if you’re planning a picnic you check the weather first #Emmerdale".
