A man has been rushed to hospital as emergency services were scrambled to Sale after a dog attack. Police were called to reports of concern for the welfare of a man at 3.20pm on Tuesday, June 25, on the corner of Urban Road and Washway Road.
Initial enquiries suggested that a dog had attacked another dog and as a result, a man had fallen over and was injured, the force said.

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life changing, but he was taken to hospital via an ambulance.
Witnesses reported seeing a ‘large dog’ pull its owner over before ‘dragging him’ along. It then proceeded to ‘attack a smaller dog’ which was being walked by an elderly lady on the opposite side of the road.
The dog that was attacked has since been taken to the vets for further treatment, and the other dog has been seized by the police.
Witnesses reported seeing up to 10 police cars, two ambulances and an air ambulance within minutes of the incident. Pictures show a large emergency service response at the junction of Washway Road and Urban Road.
Police were at the scene for a number of hours.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At 3:20pm this afternoon we were called to reports of concern for welfare of a man on Washway Road in Sale.
"Initial enquiries suggest that a dog has attacked another dog, and as a result, a man has fallen over. His injuries are thankfully not believed to be life threatening or life changing.
"The dog that was attacked has been taken to the vets for further treatment. The offending dog has been contained and seized by police."
