Elvis Presley had married Priscilla Presley on May 1 - the King bought a ranch. He named it the Circle G Ranch, and as a born-and-bred Mississippi local, he was keen to fill it up with all kinds of animals.

Elvis Presley was working on his new feature film, Viva Las Vegas. He was no stranger to working with beautiful actresses from around the USA, but he was not expecting to fall in love. When Elvis met Ann-Margret for the first time everything changed for him.

Elvis Presley and Ann-Margret first met in 1964 they likely didn't think they would fall for one another. At the time, the actors were working on their next feature film, Viva Las Vegas, but the more time they spent with one another off-camera, the more they fell in love. Ann-Margret remembered spending time with the King in his hotel suite and riding motorcycles on the weekend.

Laurel Goodwin was an actress known for co-starring with Elvis Presley (1935–1977) in “Girls! Girls! Girls!” and playing Yeoman Colt in the rejected “Star Trek” pilot, “The Cage.”Goodwin’s movie debut came with 1962’s “Girls! Girls! Girls!” She played Laurel Dodge, one of two women who caught the eye of Presley’s sailor character. In 1966, Goodwin became a part of “Star Trek” history when she appeared in the show’s original pilot, which was scrapped when the show was retooled with mostly new stars. Her character, Yeoman J.M.

Laurel Goodwin, an actor who made her movie debut at age 19 opposite Elvis Presley in the 1962 feature Girls! Girls! Girls! and four years later played a crew member in the original, failed Star Trek pilot starring Jeffery Hunter, died February 25. She was 79.

Elvis Presley started dating Miss Tennessee model Linda Thompson. The 37-year-old invited the 22-year-old to live with him at Graceland, which she did from 1972-1976.

Elvis Presley and Ann-Margret embarked on a passionate love affair that would change both of their lives. The two actors met just before they started filming Viva Las Vegas, and sparks flew between them to the point where they spent almost every day with one another during shooting. The couple spent just over a year together secretly while Elvis was still with Priscilla Presley.

Elvis Presley's last couple of years saw him really let himself go. The King ballooned in weight and was addicted to the uppers and downers he felt he needed to maintain his busy touring schedule. From 1974-1976 the star performed almost 400 concerts and by his final months looked a shadow of the hunk he once was, as he suffered from liver damage, glaucoma, an enlarged colon and high blood pressure.

Elvis Presley and Ann-Margret shared a special connection throughout 1964. After meeting on the set of Viva Las Vegas, they spent almost every hour of every day with one another. Ann-Margret has since described her relationship with the King as an "unbridled force" that could not be stopped.

Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming biopic.Warner Bros. dropped a full-length three-minute clip on Thursday featuring Butler dressed up as the musician — slick black hair, sunglasses and his famous bedazzled white jumpsuit — as well as Tom Hanks as his manager, Colonel Tom Parker, and Olivia DeJonge as Presley’s wife Priscilla.Hanks, 65, narrates the teaser, eerily stating: “There are some who make me out to be the villain of this here story.”A scene shows Elvis giving a moving performance on stage. Once he finishes singing his tunes, Parker says to him, “Are you born with destiny? Or does it just come knocking at your door?”“At that moment I watched that skinny boy transform into a superhero.
