A pensioner has died after collapsing on a canal towpath in Salford.
Police and paramedics were called to Monton Road in Eccles just after 4pm yesterday (Wednesday).
A man - aged in his 80s - had collapsed on the pathway next to the canal, police said.
He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
