Ed Sheeran is opening the show!
The 30-year-old “Bad Habits” singer-songwriter performed “Overpass Graffiti” off of his brand new studio album = (Equals) on Sunday (November 14) during the 2021 MTV Europe Music Awards held in Budapest, Hungary.

Children In Need 2021 kicked off the 41st year of its annual fundraising event with a vibrant performance from Ed Sheeran. The chart-topping singer, who was forced to self-isolate last month, took to the stage with his latest hit single Overpass Graffiti.
Ed Sheeran is slated to perform at this year’s Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).During the MAMA press conference held earlier today (November 16), chief producer Park Chan-wook announced that Sheeran will be the awards show’s global artist representative of the year.
Nominated for five awards - best artist, best pop, best UK & Ireland act, best song, and best video (both of which are for his single "Bad Habits") - the singer-song-writer performed his latest single, "Overpass Graffiti," at the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna. For his first EMA appearance and performance, Sheeran wore a pretty questionable two-piece suit to the ceremony, which he later explained on the red carpet was inspired by his new song.
