Easy DIY projects for beginners can be hard to pull off, but one B&M shopper has shared an affordable and achievable home decor makeover.
A £9.99 roll of wallpaper was the basis of Daniel Huszar's DIY that took just an hour and a half to do.
He picked up the B&M roll despite having never applied wallpaper before but Daniel managed to figure it out in record time, Manchester Evening News reported.
The doable DIY cost just £13 to do using just the £9.99 wallpaper and £2.99 wallpaper mix.
The 30-year-old felt his lounge felt uninviting and wanted to warm the space up.
"I'd seen some wallpaper panelling ideas on Facebook by using wallpaper, and the layout of my lounge wasn't really working," Daniel told DIY On A Budget UK group.
"It felt quite cold, so I thought I would give the idea a try and do a feature piece. I rearranged the lounge, moved the TV over and measured the gap between the frames.
"I then started putting up the paper and used two and a half widths for this."
The wallpaper from B&M was called 'wooden slats wallpaper' which gives a rustic wood-effect look. "The wallpaper cost £9.99 for a roll which was more than enough for the feature. The wallpaper paste mix cost £2.99 so it was a total of less than £13 to create all together," Daniel said.
"It took approximately an hour and a half to do, and I have never put wallpaper up myself before I just held the roll at the top of the wall, dropped it to the bottom and just put a little cut where the skirting was.
"I cut this to size and then pasted the paper and put it on the wall. I just fiddled around with the paper till it was right and matched up with no gaps," he added.
