On Wednesday night, Lola detreated as her friends and family came to say goodbye to the young mum who has battled with a brain tumour in recent months.
Her new husband Jay did not leave her side for long throughout the whole episode and after Lola's family and friends said goodbye he had his moment with his wife. As he held her hand, Lola lay there asleep unable to speak Jay spoke to his wife about what they would come back as in another life.
He told Lola that although she couldn't speak he could hear what she would be saying and he decided that she would come back as a fox. Jay said it would be a fox because of the sassy nature of them but he would come back as a rat but that wouldn't matter as long as they were together.
After Lola passed away as Jay lay beside his wife and her daughter Lexi the camera showed a fox wandering across Albert Square in some emotional scenes.The next day, after those scenes aired, Ben Champniss shared a snap of a fox that he spotted on his way to set this morning. On Twitter the 38 year old said: "Just spotted in Borehamwood, on my way in to work… Lola…?!" EastEnders fans were quick to pick up on the tweet one fan replied to him saying: "Ahh Lola the fox always will be there" with a number of broken heart emojis.
