EastEnders actor Scott Maslen has urged his fans not to respond to anything he posts on Instagram for the time being. Recognised for portraying Jack Branning since 2007, the 52 year old's profile seems to currently be in the hands of hackers, uploading crooked adverts onto Scott's Stories that boast false cryptocurrency windfalls such as £20,000. Keen to protect his 119k followers, the soap star announced in a tweet on Monday: "My instagram account has been hacked so please don't respond.
I'm trying to solve the problem thanks Scott." There's been no update since. Commenting, Scott's fanbase arrived in droves to share their appreciation. "I think some people are trying to exploit the fact that more people are moving to Instagram from Twitter following the latter’s problems, Scott…", "thought something was proper fishy regarding your instagram stories" and "I had a feeling that it had been when I saw your Instagram stories earlier.
Hope you get it sorted soon," replied three individuals. Four more went on to add: "Sorry to hear that Scott, not very nice when you get hacked", "Thanks for letting us know", "Knew it wasn't you!, I've reported it, hope it gets sorted" and "I was hacked twice and it is a right pain. Hence why I am not into these Copy and Paste nonsense and Chain Messages.
Good luck with your endeavours." Another person reached out with: "I’m so sorry to hear that Scott.. there are some very sad people out there! hope you get you’re account back asap!" Away from social media headaches, Scott and his lookalike son Zak caught everyone's attention just last month while enjoying the Barcelona sunshine together. Scott typed across a video of the pair walking around: "Twinning with the son or he's copying me!" before
