Soap fans believe they've cracked the case that is Patsy Kensit's EastEnders character. The former Emmerdale actress debuted as Lola Pierce's biological mum Emma Harding over the New Year, originally hiding behind the alias of Nicole before Lola discovered the truth. Facing the bleak reality of an incurable brain tumour, Lola has been spending as much time as she can with Emma, but after missing the majority of her own daughter Lexi's presentation, she's trying to cut down on their meetings. However, Emma hasn't taken the news too well, planting a secret message in Lexi's locket when her dying mum's back was turned.
It consisted of a mysterious number, which has now inspired online conspiracy theorists to get their thinking caps on. "I don't think she's Lola's mum. She's definitely hiding something," tweeted one EastEnders viewer, before a second and third added: "She's not Lola's mother" and "Are we even sure if she is definitely Lola's mum?" The going assumption is that Emma is actually in town to kidnap Lexi once Lola passes away.
"Yeah Emma is definitely gonna kidnap Lexi after Lola's death", "The way Emma whispered in Lexi's ear just then was very suspicious. I think Emma will kidnap Lexi at some point" and "Emma is defo gonna kidnap Lexi to get her away from the Mitchells #EastEnders," wrote another trio of fans. Meanwhile, actress Patsy recently announced via Instagram that she's completed her guest stint on the BBC soap.
Next to a selection of excited airport photos, the 54 year old penned: "We're leaving on a jet plane! Don't know when I’ll be back again... Going to the heat. "Great news this Friday that my severe chest infection I've nursed since December has now been diagnosed and I'm on the right antibiotics
