Coronation Street fans were left gutted when Helen Worth announced her departure as Gail Platt from the cobbles after 50 years earlier this year, and now it looks like her exit storyline has been ‘revealed’. According to The Sun, Gail will rekindle her romance with Martin Platt and sail off into the sunset. Sean Wilson, who played Martin left the soap in 2005, but the storyline will reportedly see a return for the character.

Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) was murdered by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) last Christmas as the mechanic was about to strangle fiancee Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) in the Queen Vic.
