EastEnders and Coronation Street are commemorating the King’s coronation in their Monday episodes. But will everyone be celebrating? As the big day begins in EastEnders, Linda and Alfie are decking out The Vic in red, white and blue ready for the coronation celebrations. Across Albert Square, the locals get into the festivities in the best way possible, with a special performance from Kim and Felix as Dusty Springfield.
Kat and Alfie’s twins, Bert and Ernie also take to the stage. Honey and Billy’s daughter, Janet, also enjoys the party. Back at the pub, Kathy and Rocky, clad in his infamous union jack suit, join Sonia for a drink.
And it’s not just the coronation they’re celebrating, it’s also Sonia’s birthday. Reiss has pulled out all the stops for Sonia, but there’s one thing missing, him. Rocky grows concerned about Sonia, but Kathy tells him to keep his suspicions about Reiss to himself.
As Rocky is about to crack, Reiss suddenly appears with a musical surprise and just in time for the coronation performance. Later, Rocky demands the truth from Reiss, and the game is up as Sonia overhears everything. She kicks Reiss out and tells him not to come back.
Karen's shocked by the news of Keanu and Sharon's engagement. And even though the party is in full swing, Keanu turns down the idea of celebrating at The Vic for fear of enraging Nish after his recent altercation with Ravi. Terrified for her son's safety, Karen visits Suki to beg her, mother to mother, to get Nish to drop his vendetta.
Meanwhile, Billy is desperate to make the day extra special for Lola to create some amazing family memories. But they become frazzled as the day doesn’t go as expected. Over on Coronation Street, Jenny has prepared a more classy affair
