It’s a sad day for EastEnders fans as soap icon Dot Cotton has apparently left the show for good.
The character, played by TV veteran June Brown, has been off our screens for a number of weeks and June revealed she has no plans to return to the role.
The 93-year-old confirmed the news while appearing on the Distinct Nostalgia podcast recently.
June said: ‘I don’t want a retainer for EastEnders, I’ve left. I’ve left for good.’
