This means that claimants will get their money three days early to avoid the long bank holiday weekend.
People will see this money landing on Friday, May 24, which will feel like a nice pay boost, but it is worth remembering that this money will also have to go three-days further, until the next payment. This change in benefit payment date is not permanent, and will continue to be paid on the usual day from next month.
