HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) issued the first part of the £650 means-tested cost of living payment to more than one million people on Tax Credits between September 2 and 7, with most of the one-off lump sums for £326 expected to have been made by now. The payments were being made automatically to eligible Tax Credits-only customers.

Adult Disability Payment is a new health benefit which is replacing Personal Independence Payment (PIP) for people living in Scotland. The devolved benefit will provide financial support to people aged between 16 and State Pension age, who are disabled, have a long-term health condition or have a terminal illness.
