The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has confirmed details on when they will send out four payments in February 2024, which will help people cope with the ever-rising cost of living.
These payments are worth £1075 and will be landing in bank accounts next month as a boost to UK household finance. Anyone who receives Universal Credit, income-related Jobseekers Allowance, as well as income-related Employment and Support Allowance and Income Support.
Also included are the Working Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit and Pension Credit. Anyone who becomes entitled to one of these cost of living payments retrospectively can report this on Gov.uk from February 23 to receive their essential cost of living payment.

The Cost of Living Payments, spread across 2023/24, are worth up to £900 for those on means-tested benefits, reports Birmingham Live.
This is the third of three payments over the financial year, totalling up to £900. To be eligible for the payment, customers need to have been entitled to a payment for one of these benefits between 13 November and 12 December (“the qualifying period”), or a payment for an assessment period ending between these dates, or later found to be entitled to a payment.
If you were born before 25 September 1957 you could get between £250 and £600 to help you pay your heating bills. This is known as a ‘Winter Fuel Payment’.
