A drugs gang boss who sobbed in his mugshot after he was caught shipping £2m of cocaine and cannabis has been jailed.
Samuel Brough, 34, played a significant role in the peddling of drugs on an "industrial scale", the ECHO reports. Brough was identified through his use of multiple EncroChat phones. An investigation by Cheshire Constabulary, which began looking into his illicit activities in March 2021, revealed that Brough, of Warrington Road, Northwich, was the principal member of the organised crime group (OCG).

Brough was one of four men arrested and charged as part of Cheshire Constabulary's investigation, codenamed Operation Modifier. The other three men were Nathan Bradley, 32, from Rennie Drive, Latchford, Michael Murray, 33, from HMP Thorn Cross and Gary Stevens, 39, of HMP Kirkham.
Officers uncovered that Brough and Bradley arranged the collection and distribution of cocaine, cannabis and vast quantities of cash,
