Greater Manchester Police (GMP) arrested two men - and seized what they described as "drugs and a large bayonette style Rambo knife" - after pursuing a motorcycle that had been reported stolen.
Two individuals in balaclavas were spotted riding the motorbike, but were chased by officers as they attempted to make their getaway. After a brief pursuit, the two men then ditched the bike and attempted to scarper on foot.
But the local police were aided by the dog patrol and their hounds gave chase. Two individuals were then arrested and police said they were found to have in their possession what is suspected to be drugs, and a large bayonet knife - which police described as looking like the one out of the Rambo movie.
They were arrested and taken into custody. The bike was returned to its owner, added police.
One interested spectator on Twitter asked GMP if they fancied a trip up the road to Bury. He wrote: “Can you come to Bury and round up the illegal bikes here?”
Anyone who sees something suspicious is asked to call 101 in a non-emergency, but 999 in an en emergency situation.
