A taxi driver and its passenger ‘unbelievably’ walked away uninjured after a minicab flipped onto its roof in a scary shunt in Moston today.
Police attended the scene of the crash, on Lightbrowne Road in Moston, early this afternoon (July 22). They found that the silver taxi had collided with a lamppost, and ended up on its roof.
Releasing photos of the aftermath of the collision, Greater Manchester Police say no one was injured in the smash — which officers say is ‘unbelievable’. They also confirmed that the driver has been reported.

To make matters worse, the streetlight the car collided with was reportedly ‘one day old’, according to GMP’s traffic division. They tweeted the photos on Friday evening, a few hours after the incident.
They said: “Patrols attended a one vehicle [road traffic collision], vehicle overturned on Lightbowne Road, [Moston], earlier this afternoon.
“Unbelievably no injuries to driver or Passenger. Driver reported. Street light was one day old. Vehicle now recovered.”
