A former court official who resigned after being caught with cocaine has been convicted of driving while four times over the legal alcohol limit.
Isla Menzies worked as an admin officer at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court for nearly 10 years before being caught with the drug in a police raid at an industrial estate near her home in Cumnock, Ayrshire.
She was forced to quit her job with the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service following the bust in 2017.
Earlier this month, Menzies, 39, appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court where she admitted to drink driving and driving without a licence and insurance in the town in October last year. She was fined a total of £700.
In October 2017, police spotted Menzies with a man at an industrial estate shortly before 2am. Four grams of cocaine with a street value of about £150 was found in her handbag. At court in February 2018 she admitted having the drug and was fined £450.
In 2007, Menzies was at the wheel when her car hit a parked lorry, killing her sister Cassie, 18, and cousin Laura Mitchell, 19.
Her role as an administration officer involved handling fines and public funds.
