Dramatic footage shows a former care home engulfed in flames and smoke after a blaze broke out.
The fire started in an empty building just off Abbey Hey Lane in Gorton at around 9.30pm last night (Sunday).
It is understood that the building was St George's, a former residential home which has been boarded up and empty for a number of years.

Video footage taken last night showed huge flames coming from the roof of the building.
Smoke could be seen billowing out of the roof area and boarded-up windows as crews worked to extinguish the blaze.
A spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said today that firefighters remain at the scene.
They are dampening down the remaining hotspots.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, though fire investigation officers will be carrying out an investigation, the spokesperson added.
Crews from Ashton, Gorton, Philips Park and Whitehill stations were sent to the scene last night.
Greater Manchester Police said that they were informed of a 'building fire in a large derelict detached property'.
They added: "We are currently supporting GMFRS who are the lead agency dealing with this incident."
