The brand new trailer for Downton Abbey: A New Era just debuted online!
Here’s the logline: The much-anticipated cinematic return of the global phenomenon reunites the beloved cast as they go on a grand journey to the South of France to uncover the mystery of the Dowager Countess’ newly inherited villa.

Returning cast members include Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Brendan Coyle, Michelle Dockery, Kevin Doyle, Joanne Froggatt, Harry Hadden-Paton, Robert James-Collier, Allen Leech, Phyllis Logan, Elizabeth McGovern, Sophie McShera, Tuppence Middleton, Lesley Nicol, Maggie Smith, Imelda Staunton, and Penelope Wilton, with new cast additions including Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Nathalie Baye and Dominic West.
The film was previously supposed to be released on March 18, 2022, but due to the pandemic, it will now launch in theaters exclusively in the UK on April 29, 2022 and in the US on May 20, 2022.

Dalton Mills, a large former textile mill in West Yorkshire that as a filming location hosted series including Downton Abbey and the first season of Peaky Blinders, caught fire Thursday, requiring more than 100 firefighters to get the blaze under control.
Videos of the incident on social media showed a team of firefighters trying to put out the blaze. The clips show the building going up in large, fiery flames and gray smoke polluted the air.“Downton Abbey” aired on PBS from 2010 until 2015, with a feature film debuting in 2019.
