‘Downton Abbey: A New Era’ Trailer: Mystery & The Movies Come To The Estate

“We were waiting for another script, and then suddenly before the pandemic, he said, ‘Read this’,” Oscar-nominated Licorice Pizza producer Adam Somner says about how Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest project came to fruition. “It came out of the blue. It was definitely a surprise.”

Dalton Mills, a large former textile mill in West Yorkshire that as a filming location hosted series including Downton Abbey and the first season of Peaky Blinders, caught fire Thursday, requiring more than 100 firefighters to get the blaze under control.

Videos of the incident on social media showed a team of firefighters trying to put out the blaze. The clips show the building going up in large, fiery flames and gray smoke polluted the air.“Downton Abbey” aired on PBS from 2010 until 2015, with a feature film debuting in 2019. A sequel is planned for release in May.

Following the success of the 2019 film, the popular television series is continuing to live on in the form of movies.Downton Abbey: A New Era reintroduces several of the original cast members as well as a few newbies. Hugh Dancy, Dominic West, Nathalie Baye, and Laura Haddock are among the newcomers to the Crawley family for this new adventure.

In series two Logan acted alongside her husband Kevin McNally who portrayed Horace Bryant. Bryant's son had an affair with one of the Downton maids (Ethel Perks played by Amy Nuttall) before dying in the First World War and leaving her pregnant.
